A press invitation led andalucia.com to the Diamond Party at Nikki Beach, Marbella. The strict black and gold dress code was rigidly adhered to and from the VIP terrace the views were of a sea of black and gold with sparkling highlights. Colour coordinated dancers with black and gold mini skirts performed alongside an all girl band – High on Heels (what a great name!), fused DJ sets, vocals, violin, saxophone and percussion. The two hour free bar was, naturally, a big hit and at one stage the circular bar was three deep. The saxophonist, who was quite literally standing on the bar, played on obliviously as champagne and cocktails were passed around his feet.
British jewellery designer Stephen Webster displayed his precious jewels behind a row of glass show cases, taking for his backdrop the palm-fringed sands and the glistening Mediterranean sea. A row of stony faced security guards stood alongside the precious rocks like centurion guards. More than one of them though was occasionally distracted by the glamorous Marbella set, gazing at Webster’s unique and funky gems.

Lady luck for the evening was Nada, on holiday from Canada, who found a precious stone in her champagne flute and at midnight received in exchange an exquisite piece of jewellery from the Stephen Webster collection.
A fun, high-energy event that managed to perfectly combine all the necessary elements for a true Marbella night…. and the party went on and on.
