Buses in Andalucia

There is a frequent service between the main towns in Andalucia and also day and overnight services to and from Madrid. Buses will be the only form of public transport into the surrounding villages. The bus and coach services are operated by different private bus companies. Most operate from the main bus terminals in the towns. Some however do use their own bus station.

Bus service from Salobreña

Bus service from Salobreña. Salobreña is a place to unravel the senses on the beach with the soaring sky and glittering ocean before you, and the gleaming white town behind you. Take the little local bus (it stops at various points on the promenade) to the top of the hill and explore the "casco antiguo" or old town with its Moorish Castle, 17th Century church.

Istán Bus Services

Autocares Transandalucia operate a service form Istán to Marbella. It runs between Tres Carabelas bus stop in Marbella (Av. Severo Ochoa s/n) and Plaza del Ayuntamiento in Istán. It has several stops enroute within the Istán munisipal district.

Bus Service - Puerto de la Duquesa

Duquesa is on the Estepona to La Linea (for Gibraltar) bus route. Consult bus timetables on our La Linea and Estepona bus station pages. Estepona to La Linea takes one and a half hours. Duquesa is 20mins from Estepona and one hour from La Linea.

Zahara de los Atunes Bus Services

Comes provide a daily bus service M-912 from Cadiz city (departing 11.00), San Fernando, Chiclana, San Andres golf, El Colorado to Conil de la Frontera, continuing on to Vejer, La Barca de Vejer, Barbate, Zahara de las Atunes and Atlanterra. Return service at 08.15 and 18.45. Aditionally there are six services a day between Conil and Atlanterra.

Atlanterra Bus Services

There is a local bus from Cadiz and Seville to Atlanterra calling at Conil. For destinations such as Tarifa, Algeciras, Estepona, Marbella or Malaga you would need to change at Conil.

Conil Bus Services

Conil de la Frontera's bus station was officially opened on the 7th of November 2016. It's construction was overseen and carried out by the Junta de Andalucía ( Andalusian regional government) and the town hall in Conil, with an investment of 1.18 million euros. The station is conveniently located on Avenida Cañada Honda (Av. Cañada Honda.

Mijas Pueblo Bus Services

Mijas Pueblo doesn't have a bus station as such, however there is a main bus stop on Avenida Virgen de la Peña, just down from the Mijas Town Hall building. The routes below cover Mijas Pueblo and Las Lagunas. See also Mijas Costa timetables.

Alhaurín el Grande - Buses

Buses services from Alhaurín el Grande to destination such as >Bus Routes to Alhaurín de la Torre, Cartama, Coin, Fuengirola, Guaro, Malaga. Mijas, Monda and Tolox.

Bus from El Puerto de Santa Maria to other towns stop on the main N-340 road just outside the train station. it is not a bus staton as such, just a bus stop.

Ronda Bus Timetables

Ronda bus station is located in the new part of the town, only four blocks along the Avenida de Andalucia from the train station and about 5 minutes' walk from the historic town centre. It is located at Plaza Concepción García Redondo.

Torremolinos Bus Services

The Estacion de Autobus (bus station (95 238 24 19) in Torremolinos is not a bus station but a bus lay- by on Calle Hoyo 8 oposite the Hospital de Dia and near the junction with Plaza de las Añpujjaras. There is a small kiosk to purchase tickets. There are regular buses to most of the main Coast de Sol towns, including Benalmádena, Fuengirola and Marbella.

Benalmadena Bus services

There is no bus station in Benalmadena, however there is a main bus stop called Benalmar/Puerto Marina that has a ticket kiosk and serves the regional routes.The bus stop is located next to 24-Hour Square and near to the Benalmar shopping centre on Avenida Antonio Machado.

Fuengirola Buses

The bus station in Fuengirola is located in the town centre, on Calle Jacinto Benavente, just one road away from the train station. From here you can take buses along the Costa del Sol, west to Algeciras and east to Malaga.

Almeria Bus services

The bus station is located within the same building as the train station, in the Estación Intermodal. ( Intermodal station; meaning bus and train combined station). the building opened in 2005 as the first of its type in Spain. It is open from 05.00 to 24.00 hrs. Here is a plan of the station. You are able to take buses from here around the city.

Marbella Buses

The Marbella bus station is located a km inland from the centre of the town on the north side of the A-7 ( old N-340) coast road at one of the intersections. (See map below). The local buses pass through the town centre befroe terminating at the bus station. The long distance coaches only stop at the bus station.

Malaga Airport Buses

When you exit the airport through the terminal 3 arrivals hall, turn to the right and go outside into the square. Just in front of this exit are two kiosk where you should buy the bus tickets. Portillo Avanza office is open 08.00 to 20.00hrs. Alsa / National Express office open 09.30 to 14.15 and 15.30 to 18.30 hrs. If the office is closed you can pay the driver. (check routes below) one. The three bus stops are at the far side of this square.

Malaga city Bus service

The main bus and coach station is located just to the west of the centre of town, next to the Train Station. There are also coaches from here to Costa del Sol and Andalucia.

Jerez Bus service

There are bus services from Jerez de la Frontera ato Seville and Cadiz and other towns and villages in the surrounding province of Cadiz.
