Spring in Andalucia 2023

Welcome to the first in a new series of andalucia.com newsletters. We are delighted to bring you highlights and updates on a variety of destinations in this beautiful part of Spain, together with useful information about the region.

In our quarterly newsletters the team will bring their local knowledge and expertise to help you to get to know Andalucia better and perhaps make some plans for your next trip.

Spring is, in our opinion, one of the best times of year to visit Andalucia, as delicate almond blossom covers the hillsides, and warmer weather draws people out onto the streets. Whether celebrating the spring festivals, discovering the solemn processions of Semana Santa, or lingering on a sunny terraza, there is much to enjoy. Let us be your guide.

Do share this newsletter with your Andalucia-loving friends if you find it useful.

The Solheim Cup

The international women´s golf tournament comes to Andalucia this year.

Andalucia is a popular destination for golfers in Europe: the clement weather and wide variety of courses attract players all year round. This autumn, the prestigious Solheim Cup will take place at Finca Cortesín, with the European and US women´s teams playing the new specially constructed First Hole. The spectacular par-4 hole has been designed with an L-shaped tee and a challenging water feature to the left of the fairway. It was created with the tournament in mind, accommodating up to 1,000 spectators around the tee, which is guaranteed to create a great atmosphere.
