Almond Hill House

Almond Hill House is a magical guest house escape from the daily hustle and bustle. It's very tranquil yet near to Orgiva which has everything you need. The living areas are well equipped and the bedrooms are decorated tastefully with comfort in mind. There is a very homely and relaxed atmosphere making the characterful cortijo a lovely home away from home.

Ronda

Despite being a growing town, Ronda retains much of its historic charm, particularly its old town. It is famous worldwide for its dramatic escarpments and views, and for the deep El Tajo gorge that carries the rio Guadalevín through its centre. Visitors make a beeline for the 18th century Puente Nuevo 'new' bridge, which straddles the 100m chasm below, before taking in the views from the Alameda out over the Serranía de Ronda mountains.

Ruta Paco de Lucia

One of the most famous and influential flamenco guitarists ever, if not the most famous, was Paco de Lucia, who hailed from Algeciras. You can follow a route of places around Algeciras which were important to the artist, starting at his birthplace, and moving south along the shoreline of the city.

Hotel Reina Cristina

The proudest hotel in the city of Algeciras is the Hotel Reina Cristina. Kings and Queens have stayed there. So have statesmen such as Churchill and Roosevelt and film stars like Rock Hudson and Deborah Kerr. Hotel Reina Cristina was opened in 1901 and the building includes ancient ruins. There are parts of an 8th-Century Mosque and a Moorish well. The hotel is next to Algeciras Port. The beach is 10 minutes away.

Rainbow Steps, Estepona

The Rainbow Steps in Estepona are a colourful yet little-known attraction, just off the Avenida del Mar. You won’t find the escalera arco iris (marked on maps as part of Arrabal las Mesas or Camino las Mesas) in the guide books or on the official town tourist website, but it is of interest to keep-fit enthusiasts and Social Media fans alike.

Estepona - Giant Slide

The Estepona Giant Slide (Estepona Tobogán in Spanish) is a 38m stainless steel slide and tourist attraction, located on Calle Eslovakia just off the Avenida del Mar propeller roundabout, between the entrance to the Marina and the Rainbow Steps.

When it opened on 9 May 2019, the slide it became famous immediately, thanks to coverage on social media and Spanish national TV news. It closed on 10 May. 

Arena Beach district of Estepona

Arena Beach District, 5km west of Estepona town is a location with access to one of the quietest beaches in the area. Although a narrow and part pebble beach, it is a short walk to the wider beaches of Arroyo Vaquero. The district offers breath-taking views from all sides.
