Guzman el Bueno

Alonso Perez de Guzman, who famously defended Tarifa from the Moors in the siege of 1294, when he sacrificed his son's life to save the town, and was named El Bueno by the King as a reward. Guzman El Bueno was also given the rights to fish for tuna using the almadraba net system, which helped make his family's fortune in the centuries that followed, and is still used to this day.

Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama and her daughter Sasha, were on vacation in Andalucia residing at the luxurious five star Hotel Villa Padierna, in the municipality of Benahavís near Estepona and Marbella. (Update: Ritz Carlton stopped managing this hotel shortly after the Michelle Obama visit. Michelle Obama party stayed in Villa 603 of the hotel since named Villa Obama.)

Judge Baltasar Garzon

Jesus Gil

Jesus Gil was born on March 11th, 1933, in Burgo de Osma, Soria. He attended university where he studied Economics and Veterinary medicine. Gil began his working life as a car salesman, but soon moved into property development. In 1969, aged 36 he built a complex in 'Los Angeles' in San Rafael (Segovia), which was to land him in jail for the first time.

Blas Infante

Blas Infante is known as the "father of Andalucia"having fought for what is today the "Estatuto de Autonomia de Andalucia" (Self-governing statute for Andalucia). Blas Infante Pérez de Vargas was born at 11am 5th July 1885 in the house at 55 Calle Carrera in village of Casares (Malaga).
