Mass on Sundays at 10.00 hrs
Holy Communion Service in English language by the Anglican Chaplaincy on the Costa del Sol West is held here at 12.00 hrs on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. There is also a Sunday School. The Rev'd Dr. Tony Carroll conducts the service.
A Methodist Worship in English is held here at 12.00 hrs on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. There is also a Sunday School.
An all age Anglican worship is held here at 12.00 hrs when there is a 5th Sunday of the month.
Jamie Ortiz-Patiño
Valderrama Golf Club founder Jamie Ortiz-Patiño died in a Malaga hospital on 3 January 2013, aged 82 a memorial service was held a the church in Sotogrande attended by family, press, groundsmen of Valderrama and golfer Miguel Angel Jimenez.
Notable Weddings
Álvaro Castillejo and Cristina Fernández
Álvaro Castillejo, son of the late Beatriz Preysler, and his fiancée, journalist Cristina Fernández, were maried church of Nuestra Merced in Sotogrande (Cádiz)in July 2022. There was a large representation of the Preysler family headed by Isabel Preysler as proud godmother, and also friends like Luis Alfonso de Borbón, Margarita Vargas and Marta Carriedo.

Historical note
The Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de la Merced is a spacious modern church constructed and consegrated in the early 2000s. It relaced the small chapel located in Cortijo Paniagua alongside the previous location of Sotogrande International School. The buildings were due for demolition and redevelopment. This never happened and the buildings including the old chapel lies abandoned.
