Buses in Andalucia

There is a frequent service between the main towns in Andalucia and also day and overnight services to and from Madrid. Buses will be the only form of public transport into the surrounding villages. The bus and coach services are operated by different private bus companies. Most operate from the main bus terminals in the towns. Some however do use their own bus station.

Take the little local bus (it stops at various points on the promenade) to the top of the hill and explore the "casco antiguo" or old town with its Moorish Castle, 17th Century church.

Zahara de los Atunes Bus Services

Comes provide a daily bus service M-912 from Cadiz city (departing 11.00), San Fernando, Chiclana, San Andres golf, El Colorado to Conil de la Frontera, continuing on to Vejer, La Barca de Vejer, Barbate, Zahara de las Atunes and Atlanterra. Return service at 08.15 and 18.45. Aditionally there are six services a day between Conil and Atlanterra.

Conil Bus Services

Conil de la Frontera's bus station was officially opened on the 7th of November 2016. It's construction was overseen and carried out by the Junta de Andalucía ( Andalusian regional government) and the town hall in Conil, with an investment of 1.18 million euros. The station is conveniently located on Avenida Cañada Honda (Av. Cañada Honda.

Marbella Buses

The Marbella bus station is located a km inland from the centre of the town on the north side of the A-7 ( old N-340) coast road at one of the intersections. (See map below). The local buses pass through the town centre befroe terminating at the bus station. The long distance coaches only stop at the bus station.

Malaga city Bus service

The main bus and coach station is located just to the west of the centre of town, next to the Train Station. There are also coaches from here to Costa del Sol and Andalucia.

Sevilla City - Buses

There are two bus stations in Seville, both located in the city centre: the Prado de San Sebastian bus station which serves the rest of the Andalucia region and the Plaza de Armas bus station which links Seville to Huelva, other regions of Spain and even to Portugal

Hotel NH Plaza de Armas

Handily located, this large hotel is not far from the main shopping area, very close to the Bellas Artes museum, and opposite (literally) the only cinema in Seville which shows films in English. If you’re heading east out of town, either by bus or car, then this is the best place to stay, as you’re minutes from the motorway and less than an hour from Huelva beaches and El Rocio, while Portugal’s not much further.

Granada Bus Station

Granada Bus Station is situated on Avenida de Juan Pablo II, in the north west of the city about 3km from city centre. it is the only bus station in Granada having replaced the older 'Camino de Ronda' station in 1995. The metropolitan (urban) red bus line numbers 5, 33 and 21 go from outside the bus staion to different parts of the city. There is a metro stop outside the bus station.

Cordoba Bus Service

There is a modern bus station opposite the RENFE railway station. The bus station itself has become one of the emblematic buildings of Córdoba. The building wone the National Prize for Architecture in 1999 when it was built was built by César Portela. In the car park travellers can observe remains of a Mozarabic house, the junction of two aqueducts and a mosque with Roman ashlars.

Algeciras - Bus station and timetables

Algeciras bus stations is located next to the railway station. It is a modern uninteresting functional design. It has ticket office open all day. facilities include shops, toilets, 'consigna' with small cary on size lockers and a cafe. There is a taxi rank outside. The local bus L1 stops outside.
