Casa de las Torres

Casa de las Torres

The house is a remarkable building that owes its name to the strong towers of its main façade, a great sample of Plateresque composition from the year 1520. Originally a medieval palace, built by Constable Ruy López Dávalos, it has undergone various changes in its construction over the centuries. In 1934, the City Council, concerned with its conservation, exchanged some land in for ownership of the palace, making great improvements to it. In 1943, the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos (School of Arts and Crafts) and the Municipal Museum were installed here. Declared as an Asset of Cultural Interest on May 30, 1921.

Located in Plaza San Lorenzo.
