Palacio Marqués de Mancera

Palacio Marqués de Mancera

An example of a turreted palace house of medieval heritage, an anachronistic symbol of old warrior lineages, dating to the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Residence of Pedro de Toledo y Leiva, First Marquis of Mancera, Captain and fifteenth Viceroy of Peru. It was in the tower where the Council met, known as the Treasurer, which was built on an ancient tower of the fortress’s own defensive line, and mounted on the missing arch of the fortress of Úbeda.

Located in Plaza Márquez de Molina.
